Whilst attending InfoSec Europe, I was also simultaneously presenting at Dynamo 2022, which is a technical conference for the North East of England. The presentation was recorded and can be seen below.
The title of the presentation that I made was “Securing Today’s Trains: Preventing Exploitation” and the core focus was to highlight how we’re innovating the rail industry through the usage and adoption of security technologies.
It is a short presentation, which references some key standards (TS50701, IEC62443, ISO27001) and touches on other processes such as hardening through benchmarks like CIS. The idea was to simply educate the listener on how a train is increasingly more a complex computer and less a metal box and wheels, as it used to be known.
