Flearn: Improving Registration and Card Additions

Recent Updates & Improvements

I’ve been working through some important fixes and enhancements based on testing and user feedback for Flearn. Here’s what’s new:

Registration Page Visual Overhaul

While reviewing the site, I realized the registration page had somehow been left with just basic form styling, definitely not the polished experience I wanted users to have. I’ve now updated it to match the sign-in page design, creating a more cohesive and attractive look across the platform.

Easier Access to Registration

While making these visual improvements, I discovered another issue: there was no obvious way for new users to find the registration page. I’ve addressed this by adding prominent registration links in two key locations, one on the homepage next to the user benefits section, and another in the top navigation bar beside the sign-in option. New visitors should have a much easier time getting started now.

Database Fix for Study Board Creation

Unfortunately, if you did manage to find registration, you would have hit another roadblock when trying to create study boards. During the migration from my development environment to production, several database parameters didn’t carry over correctly. This has now been fixed, and users can successfully create study boards and flashcards as intended.

Bulk Question Entry

Finally, while testing the study material workflow, I noticed how tedious it was to add flashcards one at a time. I’ve updated the interface to allow up to 5 questions and answers to be added simultaneously, making the content creation process much more efficient.
